The Hidden Gems In Rome

We came across an artist on one of the side streets going to the pantheon and she uses a saw blade to create rare designs that have a special meaning and story behind each design. Some of the coins are very rare and hard to come by. She was very sweet and gave us a lot of background knowledge on each coin and the purpose behind her design. I found this to be really cool and was so glad I was able to own a piece of her special work. I think it is a fun keepsake of my short time in Rome. I find it so cool how people like this choose to share their work just along the street corners rather than having their things in a gallery. It is very unique and shows a sense of giving back their passions and love to the community. It also shows a difference in culture compared to back in the states.
